A Unique Map of the Persian Gulf Available to Book Fair Visitors

The Printing and Publishing Company of Bank Melli Iran has released and distributed a unique historical map of the Persian Gulf for visitors at the Tehran International Book Fair.
According to the news headquarters of the 36th Tehran International Book Fair, the Bank Melli Iran Publishing Company, with a booth located at the entrance of the main Shabestan hall—one of the busiest sections of this year’s book fair—has presented a rare map of the Persian Gulf to attendees.
This ancient map was originally published by England centuries ago and is so old that, according to it, many of Iran’s eastern, western, and southern neighboring countries did not yet exist in their current geographical form.
The 36th Tehran International Book Fair began on May 6, 2025, and will continue until May 16, 2025, under the slogan "Let’s Read for Iran" at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla. Alongside the in-person fair, an online version is also available at book.icfi.ir for those interested in buying books remotely.
