Maher Sharifzadeh, the head of Farhang New Foundation booth from the Republic of Azerbaijan, says: Shahriar's poems deepen the friendship between the people of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Maher Sharifzadeh, head of Farhang Noor Foundation's booth from the Republic of Azerbaijan, in an interview with the news headquarter of the 34th Tehran International Book Fair, says: Books are one of the best ways to communicate between nations. In fact, the book shows commonalities. For example, in the poems of Shahriar, Iranian poet, we can see the cultural similarities between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

He added: These cultural commonalities strengthen relations and friendship between the two nations.

Regarding the relationship with Iranian publishers at the Tehran Book Fair, he said: We have already taken measures in this direction and the books we have in the booth are proof of this cooperation.

He added: We have talked with Iranian publishers and have obtained a publishing license from them and have translated into Azerbaijani language. They have not charged us for this, which I thank. The goal is to promote Islamic education and I hope we will have more cooperation with Iranian publishers in the future.

He added: I saw literary books and a series of books of famous Azerbaijani stories that were translated into Persian in the general books section, which was very gratifying.

Regarding the number of books offered, he also said: We have brought 150 titles to the exhibition out of 700 titles that this publication has. Due to the limited space of the booth, we could not have more books to present.

Regarding what books they plan to bring to the fair next year, he also said: A number of books from Persian to Azerbaijani are in the process of being translated, which I hope will be published next year.
