Mostafavi described the public welcome to the 23rd edition of Tehran book fair as larger than a previous edition, adding that books offer the society a fine ground for exchange of views. "Fortunately, Tehran Book Fair has in large part been a successful effort for social interaction. It expands every year."

The chief aid his organization would grab the chance of the event in making contact with translators and publishers involved in a bid to raise their awareness about Iranian authorial capacities and promote a movement of translation into foreign.

In the same regard, Mostafavi noted that as a first ever effort to promote the movement, a department had been established in the organization in order to sort out translation affairs.

The organization has already commissioned translations of over 5,000 titles from Persian into a variety of international lingua francas, according to the chief.
