ECO member states to establish new agency

An agreement has been reached on May 11 between ECO office in Tehran and the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) for establishment of a news agency to cover developments of the major international organization.
Chief executive of ECO Cultural Institute in Tehran said efforts were also afoot to establish a broadcasting organization for the ECO member countries.
Hojatollah Ayoubi made the remark while inspecting Tehran International Book Fair.
He told the book fair's press office that despite several development-related space constraints the book fair was running smoothly.
He also appreciated the book fair's organizers for staging of national day ceremonies for different countries in the House of Authors' pavilion.
