Tehran Book Fair helps publishers to interface with target audience – Frankfurt Book Fair's official

Orsola Help who represents Frankfurt Book Fair in Tehran said he had joined Tehran Book Fair in a bid to facilitate cultural exchanges between Germany and Iran as well as to exhibit latest cultural products of his country.

 
The manager of German publishers' pavilion in the 23rd book fair said he had already taken part in 8 editions of Tehran Book Fair, adding that the pavilion staffs in the 23rd edition put on stalls 623 titles from 215 different German publishers.
 
He expressed pleasure with the size of welcome to Germany's pavilion, adding that Iranian visitors had showed more interests in several subjects including latest literary works, Islamology, Iranology and children-related themes.
 
The pavilion manager also noted that he was commissioned to communicate with Iranian publishers for translation affairs and to boost bilateral cultural exchanges between the two countries.
 
Concerning the status of Tehran Book Fair in an international stage, representative of Frankfurt Book Fair said Tehran Book Fair must not be compared with other international book events "as for example Frankfurt book fair is an exclusively commercial fair for trade in publishing loyalties."
 
He elaborated that visitors to Frankfurt Book Fair have certain missions to carry out in the event and that the first three days of the five-day event was allocated to professional visitors.
