Asqar Saberi, executive of Department of Translation Affair in the Organization of Islamic Culture and Communications, told the panel staged in a pavilion of House of Authors set up in the 23^rd Tehran International Book Fair Tuesday, that the case of translation into foreign was understudied.

 

He said the undertaking faced several shortfalls including lack of a comprehensive portal on translation, poor contact between translators which subsequently led to unfamiliarity about publications in the works as well as lack of a comprehensive glossary of term which helps translators find equivalence into different languages.

 

Saberi also urged for translation of contemporary Persian literature in tandem with Persian classics.
