Translation of Iranian books is on the agenda

Elif Uzun Sumercan, the deputy of the Turkish Publications and Libraries Organization affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of this country, says: We have the agenda of translating Iranian books.

Elif Ozon Somerjan, the deputy of the Turkish Publications and Libraries Organization affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of this country said: I think the most important basis of cultural diplomacy is books.

She adds: The Ministry of Culture of Turkey has a project called TEDA, which aims to export literary works and books in different languages of the world, and one of its target countries is Iran.

She adds: So far, 201 books have been translated into Persian under this project. From 65 authors along with 32 publications, this work has been done.

Somerjan says: Nearly 900 book titles from 100 authors have been brought. Some of the books are also books that were published with the support of the Ministry of Culture, which we have brought here. Prestige books that have been printed with different quality.

She says: We have established relations with Iranian publishers to translate and publish the books in question.
