IRI Culture Minister invites Iraqi counterpart to 24th TIBF

IRI Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Sayyed Muhammad Husseini has penned a letter to his Iraqi counterpart Sadun al-Dulaymi inviting him to pay a visit to the 24th International Tehran Book Fair (TIBF).

 
The minister has suggested his Iraqi counterpart consider spending his times in Tehran from May 3 to May 13, according to Iran Book News Agency (IBNA).
 
In his letter, Husseini has also invited the Iraqi Minister of Culture for some talks for the purpose of further expansion of cultural ties between the two nations.
 
The two sides, the letter read, may also exchange views as to potential programs and measures which may be adopted to honor and mark the sacred, shrine Iraqi city of Najaf which has been designated as the cultural capital of the world of Islam for the year 2012.
 
The IRI minister has also penned a similar invitation letter to Adnan al-Zurufi, the governor of Najaf.
 
The 24th International Tehran Book Fair would open to public on May 4 in the compound of Imam Khomeini Mosalla (grand mosque), north of Tehran and would run for 10 days.
