Dr.sanchi, Joint Director of National Book Trust says cooperation with Iranian publishers was provided in Tehran Book Fair
Dr.sanchi, Joint Director of Indian National Book Trust told the news headquarter of the 34th Tehran International Book Fair: We have various meeting with Iranian publishers during this hour for participation in this book fair and looking about the possibilities for translation of the book of India languages books to Persian and in reverse.
Following is the text of the interview:
*What is the role of the books in cultural diplomacy?
It is very important for both people to contact actually when we read book about some country and some people that didn’t know what kind of politicizes is there what is their job and what is their culture and it’s a way to connect to other nation.
*Do you have any plan for exchange copyright with Iranian publishes?
We have various meeting with Iranian publishers during this hour for participation in this book fair. We have talked about many possibilities. We are looking about the possibilities for translation of the book of India languages books to Persian and in reverse.so we are building on this and hopefully we will succeed in it.
*How many books title have you had in this fair?
We have brought 500 books. In India we are publishing many types of books. We are publishing India literature books.
They are into many India languages currently we are publishing more than 22 languages of India and along with that various regional dialects are also there. So if we count regional dialect also 5260 regional dialect we have publishing books in them. So our books consist of science books and history books and literature books are publishing that translated the best content from the world to India language.
The 34th Tehran International Book Fair with the slogan “the future is to be read” started on the 10th of May and will continue until the 20th of May 2023 in the Mosque of Imam Khomeini and simultaneously on ketab.ir.
