Ayatollah Khamenei emphasis on domestic production in children's books

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution addressed the officials and authors of the children and teenagers section of the 34th Tehran International Book Fair and says: Work as much as you can in terms of quantity and quality to attract children and teenagers. Foreign stories related to children books still prevail, which is a big flaw.

According to the news agency of the 34th Tehran International Book Fair, Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, paid a visit to the 34th Tehran International Book Fair at the Grand Mosalla of Tehran on Sunday (May 14) morning.

This morning (May 14, 2023), the Leader of the Islamic Revolution visited Tehran International Book Fair.

During his visit to this exhibition, which took place with the end of the coronavirus restrictions and after three years, Imam Khamenei spoke with publishers and gained information about the latest events in publishing.

On the sidelines of his visit to the children and teenagers section of the book fair, he addressed the officials and writers of this section and says: You can work on the issue of children as much as you can, both in terms of quantity and quality, so that you can attract children and teenagers.

Ayatollah Khamenei, adds: Foreign stories related to children book still dominate the collection of works, and this is a very big flaw.

Tehran International Book Fair was held for the first time in 1987 during the term of Imam Khamenei’s presidency. He has visited this event most years since then.

The 34th Tehran International Book Fair with the slogan “the future is to be read” started on the 10th of May and will continue until the 20th of May 2023 in the Mosque of Imam Khomeini and simultaneously on ketab.ir.
