Afghan ambassador in Tehran believes that Tehran International Book Fair would leave its largest positive effect on Afghan culture than any other one in the nation, arguing that a 3 million population of Afghan refugees currently residing in the Islamic Republic will get more advantages from the cultural event than any one else.

Ubaidallah Ubaid made the remarks while visiting the 24th edition of the book fair. He expressed delighted at his inspection of the book fair and said the landmark cultural event helped give a boost to young Afghan refugees.

The ambassador said Tehran book fair was also an inspirational opportunity for Afghanistan as a war ravaged country.

Mr. Ubaid called Iran and Afghanistan as two ancient countries with common borders, adding that common language and religion have even further drawn the two countries to one another and that the two can exchange thoughts without facing the embarrassing need of translation.

The ambassador described the levels of bilateral ties between the two countries as profound, adding that the two sides have enjoyed ever widening cultural relations after exchange of visits by cultural authorities and personalities of the two nations.
