Late application caused Saudi Arabia to fail to show up in 24th TIBF

Late application caused Saudi publishers to fail to show up in the 24^th edition of Tehran International Book Fair, a senior official with the book fair said Monday.

 

Saudi Arabia, facing internal problems, failed to apply for the book fair in due time and therefore no pavilion was earmarked for the country in the international section of the landmark event, deputy TIBF chief executive, Ehsanollah Hojjati told the book fair's press office.

 

The deputy said however that several publishers from Saudi Arabia have managed to join the book fair after delegating their titles to other pavilions.
