Karbala Seminary instructor described TIBF as source of honor for Islamic Iran

A senior Iraqi professor has described Tehran International Book Fair as a source of honor for the Islamic Republic of Iran, according to the book fair's press office.

 

Dr. Najah al-Ta'ea, in Tehran for an inspection of the 24th edition of the landmark book fair, made the remarks after inspecting different sections of the book fair which hosts over 4,000 publishers from home and abroad.

 

An instructor with the Karbala Howza Elmiya (religious seminary), al-Ta'ea also met and conferred with the TIBF Chief Executive, Bahman Dorri on Sunday where he thanked the TIBF policy committee for establishment of a large pavilion for titles in Arabic as well as an international section inside the fairground.

 

The Iraqi instructor said the Arabic titles pavilion and the international section serves the interests of Muslim populations worldwide.

 

He said the number of publishers and titles on stands in the pavilion had witnessed a surge year on year, adding that the decision to earmark a special space for Arabic titles would help identify and support useful contents.

 

The instructor further said the TIBF event proved exceptional compared to its regional peers.

 

He also touched on a strong welcome on the part of Iraqi publishers to the book fair and said that Tehran International Book Fair best facilitates a cultural exchange between Iran and Iraq as any Iraqi publisher would return home with a message of culture from the Islamic Republic.
