"Position of Women" pavilion promotes decency and hijab in 24th TIBF

A pavilion on the status and position of women in view of Islam and the Holy Koran has been set up in the 24th edition Tehran International Book Fair where women are served with several titles and sidelines events which altogether promote Divine views concerning the role and obligation of women in society.

 

Titled "Status of Women," the pavilion has been established by Imam Sadeq (A.S.) Publication under the aegis of Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and Iran House of Books, the book fair's press office reported Monday.

 

There a special title, like-named as the pavilion, is up for grab at a substantial, ad hoc discount; Titled "Position of Women," the book encapsulates extracts of three titles by the assassinated philosopher Shahid Morteza Motahhari on the position of role of women in Islam, namely "Women Rights System in Islam," "Sexual Ethics in Islam and the West," and "The Question of Hijab."

 

The title can be purchased at an ad hoc, TIBF-only discount of 70 percent. An anthology in DVD of the assassinated scholar is also up for grab in the pavilion at the same discount.

 

The publisher has also staged an online contest on the content of "Position of Women" with a view to promote the philosopher's works and views concerning the issue of social decency and hijab as well as to promote and honor the true status of women in society. Applicants can find questionnaires at www.maghamezan.ir.

 

10 cash awards, each between $40 and $100 as well as book sales vouchers would be granted to winners. Winning statements and responses collected from the winning contestants would also be published in a special electronic newsletter to be issued by Ofoq Publication.

 

So far, up to 1,000 contestants have taken part in the contest, according to the press office.
