Chief executive: TIBF set to become largest cultural event worldwide

Bahman Dorri, Chief Executive of the 24th edition of Tehran International Book Fair called the fair the national cultural rendezvous and hoped the landmark book fair would become the largest cultural event the world over, TIBF press office reported.

 

The chief executive was speaking to an inaugural ceremony for the 24th book fair where he also described the fair as the largest ever cultural exercise nationwide.

 

Also deputy minister of culture, Dorri said the book fair had helped put some 400,000 precious titles up for sales or display, overall published by total 4,000 publishers from home or abroad.

 

The chief executive then highlighted the title of the current Iranian year, namely "Year of Economic Jihad" designated by the Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei in a New Year Day speech on March 21. "In a year called economic jihad we would make our best to promote the book fair as the largest, most dynamic and healthiest book fair in the world," Dorri wished.
