Aydin Altay, Director of Qalandar and Altai publications in Turley says to the 34th Tehran International Book Fair: We have many collaborations with Iranian publishers. These collaborations take place through intermediaries, such as the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkey and also book agencies that help to conclude contracts and copyright issues and do the necessary follow-up for publication.

Following is the text of the interview:

*What is the role of the books in cultural diplomacy?

I think that it is very important for the people of the two countries to know each other, and in this regard, the role of culture and art is very colorful, and the book definitely has a very important place in this field.

*How many books title have you had in this fair?

We have brought 230 to 250 book titles in this fair.

*Do you have any plan for exchange copyright with Iranian publishes?

We have many collaborations with Iranian publishers. These collaborations take place through intermediaries, such as the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkey and also book agencies that help to conclude contracts and copyright issues and do the necessary follow-up for publication.

*In this regard, what is your future plans?

Yes, of course, I am present here as a representative of 5 publishing houses. Each of these publishing houses, which are under the Qalandar and Onsuz publishing houses, each aims to publish 10 books for each year, and a total of 50 books will be published in the new year.
