Iran Attended the Opening Ceremony of the Paris Book Fair/Agreements with Publishers from India, Algeria, and Albania on the First Day of the Book Fair

The 38th edition of the Paris Book Fair was opened yesterday (Mar. 16, 2018) while the Islamic Republic of Iran attended the ceremony.
Iran attended the ceremony.
On the very first day of the book fair, negotiations were hold with publishers from India, Algeria,  and Albania for translation of titles selected for the Jalal Prize. The meetings were hold in the presence of the representative from the Iranian Translation Grant Project. 
According to report by the Public Relations Department of the ICFI, in line with the activities of the Secretriat of the Iranian Translation Grant Project, negotiations attended by the represntative of this secreteriat were held with Rajpal Piblishing from India and two more from Algeria and Albania to publish titles winning the Jalal Literary Prize.
The managers of these publishing houses showed interest in long-term collaborations with the Iranian Grant Secreteriat through signing contracts with Iranian publishers and writers.
As a result of these negotiations, preliminary agreements were made to translate into Arabic, Indian, and Albanian languages and publish a book titled "BOOKLESSNESS" by Mohammadreza Sharafi. Based on this agreement, it was supposed that the final contracts for selling the copyright of this book are signed in the 31th TIBF. BOOKLESSNESS takes a glance at a hitorical event and tries to scrutinize the attitude of Iranians toward books.
